Ten gangsters who admitted they "teased" Bangkok pedestrians with toy guns and machine gun sound effects, sending them fleeing in panic, have each been fined 10,000 baht by the Nonthaburi Provincial Court. The gang terrified people at several bus stops on Monday night, at the end of the long holiday weekend. The court was told on Tuesday that the defendants called themselves "Grean the Gang," (Firebrand Gang)On the night of July 27 they colluded to "tease" pedestrians at bus stops on roads in Nong Chok and Lad Krabang districts. A video taken during the attacks was posted on social media, drawing scathing criticism. The gang later surrendered to police.
